Training & Certification

Become a Certified RSA Roofing Company

RSA began its certification and training offerings in order to help ensure proper roof system installation to reduce product failure and homeowner dissatisfaction. The program goes hand-in-hand with our in-depth and flexible workmanship warranty program and is designed to help your business succeed.

Highly satisfied customers with quality installations that are warrantied for extended periods helps increase referral business and marketing-assists through social media and word-of-mouth marketing.

Our program is administered directly by Roofing Standards of America, based on a combined curriculum developed in part by the Roofing Contractors Association and ASTM Roofing Standards. Our standards include specifying, testing, and evaluating the dimensional, mechanical, and performance requirements of various forms of roofing systems.

Eligibility for Certification

RSA recognizes Companies as Certified RSA Installers based on a combination of work experience and successful completion of a course of training an examination based on the body of knowledge and applied skills needed to properly install asphalt roofing systems and accessories. Company principals with a minimum of three years of installation experience and who meet our clearance requirements can become an RSA Certified Company.  Those with fewer than three years of experience can still attend a training course as a non-certification participant or as an apprentice installer as an employee of a certified company; however, for an apprentice installer, certification cannot be achieved until the required experience is completed.
